Gary’s students are standing on the edge of possibility, ready for a world that moves as fast as their imagination. However, bright futures do not appear on their own—they are shaped by access, exposure, and the presence of a community that clears the way.
GAPS is preparing what comes next: a connected ecosystem where opportunity is coordinated, mentors are activated, and students move toward adulthood with clarity and courage. When we build together, the future becomes something our children can step into—not something they have to chase.

Every breakthrough and student experience can be traced back to a person who showed up. Whether you’re guiding a workshop, cheering at an event, reviewing applications, or simply listening, your presence creates possibilities that students can feel.
GAPS volunteers help students discover their strengths, expand their vision, and build the confidence to step boldly into their future. You don’t need special training—just a willingness to care and the courage to stand in a young person’s corner.
Throughout the year, GAPS hosts events that celebrate students, deepen community connections, and mobilize support. From college fairs and career days to community gatherings and program showcases, every event is an opportunity to show students they are seen, valued, and supported.
When you attend, serve, or help spread the word, you amplify the work and strengthen the village that lifts Gary’s youth.
